[Steam-engine] (no subject)

Both of you are right in the kinds of things people collect. I know
most people like to get what they couldn't when they were kids, so
lots of people collect 1950s tractors. They are easy to find, easy to
fix, cheap, and can perform around a small farm as well as many new
ones.

But, real antique tractor people are still out there and collect and
restore the nice stuff like steam engines and real antique tractors,
such as Oil Pulls, Hart Parrs, Aultman-Taylors, Eagles, etc. It just
takes a little more time and devotion. The problems I see are the
folks with the early stuff are getting older, some don't like to get
them dirty or bother with hauling them, and the younger folks can't
afford the get started with them.

I would like to see more shows feature the early stuff.
