Hi Charlie
The closest I have come to such a modification was exchanging the
original equipment shoe and drum brakes on my Cockshutt 40 with the
newer style enclosed disk brakes. It was a big improvement and of course
a simple bolt in operation since the later 40s and 50s had disk brakes
anyway. Just a trip to the salvage yard for the parts. Also the
cockshutt disks take the same re-lining kit as the Case 730 which was
convenient when we still had a Case dealer. Unfortunately Case has gone
the same way as Cockshutt now. Just a memory swallowed up by a bigger
company.
