Dave,
Either the 71 or 72 was still available from Deere about 20 years ago. The
difference between those two is the nozzle and the economizer plug. One is
for all fuel (72) and the other(71)is for gas.
I just looked in my parts book. The bodies are different. I assume it is
where the economizer goes. The 71 doesn't use an economizer.

Subject: [AT] DLTX Question
Here's some interesting info I found after the last post.
A google search found this site which identifies DLTX usages.
http://www.bright.net/~suiterwo/carbpage.htm
Interestingly enough the DLTX 71 was used on the 1949 models "AR-AO" and
the 1947 &48 model year "A", and indeed the DLTX 67 is correct for my "B".
Next, I went here: http://www.antiquetractors.com/Research/enginehpchart.htm
which shows both the "A" and "AR-AO" both having the same bore and stroke-5
1/2 X 6 3/4, yet the "B" is 4 11/16 X 5 1/2.
Beginning to sound like jets to me.
Thanks again,
Dave
