Thanks for all of the answers. I have been running this set up all winter
and just started having real problems. Occasionally I would need to run a
wire into the end of the copper tube to unclog. Last week the tube would
not unclog with a drill and I accidentally broke off about 8" and found the
entire length clogged solid. The tube extends about 12" into the stove. I
installed a new piece of tubing yesterday and the new one clogged up in
about 4 hours. The old tube ran slightly uphill inside of the stove so I
thought that was the problem. The new tube runs down hill all of the way.
Making the tube shorter could help but the tube comes in through the back of
the stove and making it shorter will prevent the oil from reaching the
center of the stove. Maybe I need to change where the oil tube enters the
stove so that the length exposed to the fire is shorter.
