[AT] History Exam, now kid memories

Paul by age 12 I was hiring out for custom work with the tractor and bush 
hog.  My dad would allow me to mow vacant lots, etc. and once a whole 
residential subdivision that had been built but only had 1 or 2 houses in 
it.  I can remember furnishing the tractor and bush hog and my labor for $5 
an hour.  That was in 1962 or so.  I'd leave out with the tractor and drive 
to the job.  In the case of the Subdivision it was about 3 miles from home. 
That wasn't too big a deal.  It wasn't unusual for me to drive it 7 miles to 
my uncles farm.

NO, I can't imagine anyone allowing a 12 year old to do that now.
