Kevin:
I understand the pain deal... I had to retire from a rather fun and
interesting job due to the pain in my back which also causes both hands
to go to sleep and I can only walk about 300 ft before my leg quits
working. I just could not make myself go to work with the pain. I
retired, got it sorta under control, and am supposed to lift no more
than 10 lbs. Yeah right, work on the farm and raise sheep and only
lift 10 lbs!!.

I posted earlier about the inflammatory and the painkillers, this works
so that you don't use so much of the pain medication that you get so
addicted. You will get somewhat addicted anyhow. It may be more
mentally than physically. When I can see the bottom of the bottle
through the pills I get concerned. The pain will always be there, it
just gets dull and you get used to it..

I keep remembering that line in the movie G.I. Jane ....... Pain IS
Your Friend, It Tells You You're Still Alive..!!
 Hang in There
