So are you suggesting he fill the rear tires with Shoe-Goo?  Might be great
for going over thorns but I would hate to be the guy that had to replace
them someday! ;-)

I've been thinking about you for the last couple of days, Mark.  The short
version of the story is, I needed a new door mat that's made out of recycled
auto tires.  Lehman's Hardware has them.  I was going to have you stop by
and bring one to me at Portersville.  But then I thought, "I'll go down to
Kidron after the Portersville show and pick one up myself."  But then my
wife talked to me about it and said, "Why don't you just fix the old one?"
So I got out a tube of Shoe Goo from the shop (which Farmer told me all the
good features of years ago) and fixed it this afternoon.  The door mat is
now around 20 years old.  With any luck, it is now set to last another 20
years.  I used the Shoe Goo repair as suggested by Farmer to patch a pair of
gauge wheels on my Kubota mower deck.  The patch on those lasted better than
9 years under pretty adverse conditions.  For those that haven't used this
product before, it is a glue that is specially formulated to repair the
soles of sneakers.  Farmer knew of it because of one of his former lives as
a cobbler, and he sent me off to the shoe department of Wal-Mart to get it.
