Thanks, H.L. I found a few references on Copper Bond in some of the Do-It-Yourself sites, but was still skeptical about it &  its longevity. I have some plumbing work to do this week, and if I can find any of it at Lowe's, HD or TSC (assuming it's legal to use here) I'll let everyone know how I made out. It would certainly be easier in tight spots than sweating solder would be.
