[AJD] Model L steering box

John.
Duane hit the nail on the head, those brgs are pretty much the same bearing
as those used in
JD Governor brgs, although smaller,
I just went through this a while back on the G, I am currently working on.
It uses JD 7656 brgs on the fan shaft also the governor. On the steering a
similar 7205 cone with rollers is used, now I do understand that these are
different size but they are still available?
I wonder if a simple bushing could be made to adapt a different but
available brg?
I would be thinking that to re machine the seat could be a problem as both
the seat and the race would be very hard surface, in other words it would be
possible to be ground but not milled or turned?
Still I would almost be positive if a steering head was available to a good
machine shop
something workable could be created in a short time.
Dee
