[AT] Off Topic re Fuel Tank

Ralph i have repaired many gas tanks the way you explained. I have 
brazed some and soldered some also. Only place that leaked i would 
not try to repair was at the seam. Done a lot from the old IH scouts.
I have copper solder irons from about 1/2 pound to 3 pound or more.
