The Tulare International Farm Show is quite an adventure. Approximately 100 
acres + of every farm dealer/implement display imaginable. A good friend and 
local farmer here bought a new JD last year to pull his big bale retriever 
and was in the JD pavillion and started talking with one of the 
representatives there regarding the pros and cons of his tractor. During the 
extensive conversation the representative said He'd be more interested in 
about what Ronnie didn't like about the cab and controls. Now Ronny is a big 
man, like about 6'6" and 250 lbs so movement in the cab is somewhat limited 
so the gave that rep an earful. Turns out other JD guru's were listening and 
one of them asked him if he would be interested in going to the factory and 
talking with their design engineers. Turns out that after the growing season 
was over last fall Ronnie took off by himself, drove from Nevada to Iowa and 
toured the Waterloo plant. He told the JD reps that he'd just been there and 
they said, no we have a facility and design engineers in Meineikin(sp?)
Germany.  He leaves on the 10th of March for a week, all expensed paid....
