A gas 50 is quite a rare Cat.  Definitely worth saving from the 
scrapper's torch.  In terms of what a collector would pay, worth well 
more than chunks of scrap iron headed to China.

However if you or the BIL intend to use it much, be forewarned it 
will suck gas like there's no tomorrow.  There's a darn good reason 
Cat put such a huge tank on it!
