You could try a cobalt drill bit. Run the drill as slow as possible. You may also try heating the easy out with a torch and letting it cool slowly.
That may take some of the hardness out of it. Ideally if you could heat it up then pack some material around it that would hold the heat in for several hours, that would "anneal" it and make it easy to drill.
