Best net $ per acre - soybeans $127, corn $55, irrigated corn $51, wheat -$51.  These were Oct 2007 budget guesses, of course wheat went up $5 from $3.90 then.   If you could produce that $1.50 4H corn for 50 cents, you're just as well now of as you were then.  Or if 50 cents then was worth $3 today, you might have been way better....
