I have a Cub with a Woods 4 ft. belly mower. It cuts fine. The only
trouble, if it can be called that, is that I can cut the grass faster with my 42
inch Yardman riding mower. (Imperative! Do not let this information out
to the general public! It would be the source of all manner of unnecessary
embarassment, stress and anxiety for FATG's). I have an Allis C with
tricycle front equipped with a 5 ft. woods belly mover. It will way out run my
riding mower. I can cut smoothly and do a very neat circle around the trees
sometimes having to pat the LH brake pedal a little. On the other hand the
little Cub is easier to mount and dismount for a fairly pleasant mowing
experience. The Cub is light enough so it won't leave cleat marks on the turf unless
the ground is very wet. In which case you probably wouldn't be mowing
anyway. Your B or C Farmall will be more practical if anybody cares. On my Allis
C I have tires about 3 inches wider than stock with the cleats almost worn
off. Car tires on the front. If you use one of the larger tractors you can
get by very well without buying turf tires by following that format.

FYI
I don't know any antique tractor people who's first frame of reference is
the word practical, rational or any other similar word. The first thing to do
in an assessment is to try and decide which experience is going to be the
most fun. They will all do the job just fine. Also people sometimes overlook
the "lust factor" or, which machine will give you the biggest adrenaline
rush. And another item just about as important as the other two is "bragging
rights" . If it doesn't make your brother-in-law jealous it will need
additional thought before purchase. (grins)

A word of caution. Sometimes the "lust factor" can cause us to buy 20 or
30 more tractors than we could ever do anything with in our entire lifetime.
We were always totally able to Justify every purchase.

Also, if you need tractor psychological advice you might try consulting the
worthy Dr. "Captain Nebraska" AKA Roger Welsch. He has many publications
available to assist those with unfulfilled emotional needs. (grin)

This brings to mind a question that I have been going to ask for some time.

Just how well does a Cub (or perhaps an A, B or C, mow with a Woods
deck? I am going to be doing much of the yard work at my in-laws, who
are in their mid 80s is why I ask. My f-i-l is very particular about
his yard. But, this could REALLY give me a half-way rational excuse for
getting one---a Cub preferably I think.
