Because if that "double male plug arrangement" is mis-handled live you might
become the ground and end up 6 feet under ground? Plus if the main discon
isn't turned off you can backfeed out onto the power grid and send power to
a line the utility might think is "dead" while they are trying to repair it
and end up killing or seriously injuring a lineman.
