When rewiring for a new kitchen several years ago, I thought about doing 
this.  I stayed with the duplexes, as it is easier to tell if the thing 
has tripped.  I have since then seen that some mfgrs make a GFCI with 
LEDs to indicate power, etc.  Very handy in a remote location; there is 
NO doubt if there is power to the outlet.

I would find such applications as outdoor receptacles maddening to be on 
a GF breaker---it takes sooo little moisture to upset them!!
