[AT] : Ice Storm

Mine was wired in by the licensed electrician who installed the whole
house transfer switch and was approved by the electrical inspector. (I
don't take any chances when dealing with that kind of thing.) The
generator is connected to the transfer switch by a huge three-wire plug,
but he never mentioned anything about grounding. I assumed that the
three-wire arrangement matches up with the normal house wiring
arrangement and is grounded through the transfer switch. If an earth
ground is required, there is no obvious point on the generator for it.

Please tell us more.
