Tim, from what I've heard and read the select-o-speeds were troublesome when 
new and can be a bit of a problem to fix now.
That is an item you want to pay some attention to if you think you might buy 
it.  One of our neighbor farmers (the rich one that owned the local grain 
mill) had one when I was a kid.  I marveled at it.  LOL.
