Lester Frank Ward (the father of sociology in the USA, 1841 to 1913) once 
said that "Mathematicians think about lines. A line is made up of points. 
Points have neither depth nor width nor breath. Thus mathematicians think 
about nothing most of the time. And thinking about nothing for long periods 
of time is demetalizing."
