I'm amazed -- well, more like disappointed -- that the media treats late freezes, snowstorms and record low temperatures like they might a huge meteor hurtling on a collision course toward Earth. Oh my! 

Calendars and Equinoxes are manmade. Weather is not. I half expect one of these days to see people out plowing or blowing the snow off their fields so they can start planting because it's Good Friday or whatever date the crops are "best planted/sown by." Amazing.
