I spent quite a few years as a plumber, and most of those years doing service work.   One of the first "rules" one learned was "Never, NEVER, listen to the customer's analysis of the problem."  OK, that is too strong.  Listen to it, but always, ALWAYS start at the beginning, and do your own trouble shooting and analysis, from the BEGINNING!  KEEP AN OPEN MIND!!!  Avoid tunnel vision!

HaHa---don't we wish it was easier to practice what we preach!!!
