I have a mag on my tractor so my only switch is a kill type switch. Also I
have a one wire alternator if that matters. If there is a way to make this
work on my tractor, I would sure be interested. As I said, the way it is
isn't a terrible problem, but can be trouble if it sits too long. A couple
of days ago I started it after a month and a half; it started right up but
did charge heavily for a while. I have the same type alternator, without
the resistor, on my IH 856 but the different pulley setup on this tractor
spins the alternator fast enough to start charging without overreving the
engine.
