If it is an Allis B, C, or G, the serial number is
stamped on the transmission case right by the gear
shift lever. The serial number will be preceeded by
the Model designation of B, C, or G. It sounds  like
you've found a B, but if you examine the serial number
area, this would confirm your find. Serial number
lists are also readily available so you can pinpoint
the year of production, too.
