[AT] OT - Spyware problems - Update

I might be wrong but I believe the web sites you are visiting, Yahoo, Juno,
etc. are loading Bargain Buddy and others on your computer.
I get bargain buddy fairly often too. It is relatively harmless. I just
keep letting Ad Aware and the other anti spyware programs delete it.

OK,
Here's what I did.
1. Turned off System Restore
2. Started Windows in Safe Mode
3. Ran Ad-Aware and deleted Bargain Buddy along with 16 other cookies
4. Rebooted in Normal Mode and went to a couple of web pages (Yahoo, Juno
ect)
5. Bargain buddy is back
Is there a way I can manually delete it? Ad Aware says it is a registry
key??
Thanks for the help.
Mike

Hi Mike. Have you installed any of the free programs like weatherbug or
any screensaver programs or toolbars? A lot of the freebee stuff comes
with programming built in that downloads the spyware garbage. you remove
it and it just redownloads it when you startup IE the next time you go
online. I do a good bit of computer repair here and some machines I get
are loaded so bad a format and reinstall of windows is the only way out.. Ed
