Best as I can recall/determine from hearing Granddaddy and others talk,
Silent Flame was a brand name for several pieces of tobacco equipment,
including harvesters and curing equipment.

I searched Ebay, but nothing came up. I know of a harvester not far
from here, no longer used, that is configured similar to them, but I
don't know if it's a Silent Flame or not.

Where would a guy find pictures of a Silent Flame. Any idea why they
called
it this?

PS That would have been in 1989-92, somewhere in there.

When I was in high school and we would go to Raleigh for various FFA
events, there was a Silent Flame sitting outside of Goldsboro on Hwy.
70. I think it was beside an antique store or something. As I recall,
the thing looked like it was ready to go to the field.
