Danny, Glad you didn't get hurt and I know you will enjoy your new Mack. I
have a friend that works for Mack in Hagerstown Md. I know he thanks you
too! LOL

I found out one night about 25 years ago how easy it is to jack knife a
truck. All it takes is an empty trailer, a wet road and mistaking a big
dog for a child. Luckily it never came completely around and I was able to
steer it back into a straight line but not before I scared 10 years off the
life of a guy who was leaning on the side of his pickup truck talking to a
friend. My old Brockway was bearing straight down on him and the 318
Detroit with gutted mufflers was bellowing at him like the hounds from hell.

He never saw me steer the truck back straight. Last time I saw the poor guy
he was running down a side street as fast as he could run with both hands
reaching to the sky as if he was asking the good Lord to lift him up from
the pavement. It was funny to me about 15 miles further down the road after
I stopped shaking. I sure hope he eventully saw the humor in what could
have been a very bad situation.

Charlie
