They told me that Deere was aware that there have been a few of these 
bending the rods. Personally I think the reason mine bent, was sloppy 
valve clearance. The rocker arms are a poor design in my opinion, the 
cup on the rocker arm that the rod fits into is not very deep and if the 
valves get a little sloppy they will slip pot of the rockers arms and 
then you got trouble. So I plan to get the head fins cleaned out and 
check the valve clearance twice or more per mowing season.
