[AT] 4020's coming back?

The 4020 had a hydraulic system that would quit working if you held the
clutch in too long.  The dry clutch would wear out twice a year under loader
use. -- If the front axle didn't break from being too light. The available
cab was poor and noisy.
Don't get me wrong - They were nice tractors for the time - good power,
maneuverable, good parts availability, etc.  They did have problems just
like all other tractors.  If you really want a tractor like that, Deere
already makes it - 6603 for $45,000.  However, most US farmers buy something
a little nicer if they are buying new.

The local JD dealer told me that they would go broke if hadn't stopped
production of the 3020--4020 because the held up so well that no one would
buy another new tractor.
