Larry,

Infusion works pretty well on a cup of coffee and half and half but it you 
hooked 2 cups of coffee together with a couple of hoses and poured the half 
and half into one cup I don't think it would "infuse" too far into the 
other.   Like you said, there's too much at stake to try it.

How about mixing some anti-freeze/water solution and pumping it into the 
system through one hose until all of the clear water runs out the other and 
is replaced by the mixture.  If there is a thermostat it would have to be 
removed first.  Pump into the lower hose and out the upper hose.
