When electrolysis occurs between aluminum and iron, the iron deteriorates
faster than the aluminum. And crankcase oil is not an electrolyte, which is
necessary for electrolysis. Aluminum is somewhat more prone than brass to
"extrude" from extreme pressure or pounding.
