Be aware that Google Earth is just a fancy new interface to the same image
database used by Google Maps
http://maps.google.com/
Google Maps might be a lighter weight way to access the satellite data than
Google Earth.
Still takes quite a bit of bandwidth, but might be workable on a slower line.
BTW, my place is just a fuzzy blob, you can't see the tractors, and I'm OK
with that.
