Had a friend with the same problem on a new machine. I don't remember what I did but it seems like there was some sort of collar that had to move forward before you could get it off the shaft. It was one of those times when you wish you at least made it look hard but it fell off in my hand when I took a try at it. Gary Cold Renton WA.
