       Yea, there was a 44 sold here locally for
$8500, not restored but complete. On ebay you'll see
parts machines sell for 3-4000 because of their
rarity.
        Now having said that you can determine I would
like a 44 in my collection and you'd be right but of
the tractors Oliver had developed the 44's and 55's
are (in my opinion) a black mark in Olivers past. They
both were considered by many dealer's a catch-up
tractor to Farmall and Ford. 
      Not that these two tractors were bad or poorly
built, just a sign that Oliver was falling behind as
far as what the consumer wanted.
