I have an MF148 with similar power assist steering. I think there were 
about 3 different versions, but my suggestion is to check and maybe 
adjust the small turnbuckle connection under the instrument panel - if 
your machine has one. Incorrect adjustment will make steering slightly 
harder in one direction (not much in it) , so maybe it is worth a try.
