Is there a place to get a good charger these days?

Yes, I bought one of those fancy Schumaker chargers, and I have never
been happy with its performance. It is completely useless on 6 volt
batteries, and it doesn't do much better on 12 volt batteries. Buying
that charger was the biggest waste of $100 I ever made. I stick to my
old style chargers and the Schumaker just sits on the shelf. My advice
to anyone is to save your money.
