Hmmm, I hadn't thought of that, but will wait to see what happens.  My gut
feel is that it'll be okay.  The tractor starts pretty quickly, so it
doesn't seem like that lower post could get hot enough for long enough to
hurt anything, and even if the plastic softens there's nowhere for it to go
and no particular stress on it so it ought to just stay put while it cools.
I guess over time it may be likely to deteriorate and let the post wear
through it and contact the housing again, which is where I started a few
days ago.  If that happens I can try a different material, or just say the
heck with it and buy a new switch.
