The best thing to do is have your machinist look at it. He can point out
different things, like uneven wear, worn out lobs, etc... If the lifters
are worn, the cam is most likely worn.

Now I have the follow up question. I have looked at the cam and it
appears to be OK. How can I tell if it should be reground, anything that I
would stand out that I should look for? Really green in this area since
this is my first complete engine rebuild..

followers. Several have indentations worn into the follower face and two
