If you have postal money orders there is a number you can call and enter the 
number, amount and issuing location number and it will verify if the order 
is on record.  I have been playing with scammers and have $4250.00 of fake 
postal money orders as well as over $4000.00 in fake Well Fargo checks.

Check I think it is USPS.com for the US Postal service site.

You also need to be careful of US Postal money orders.  They are
counterfeiting those also.  My bank puts a 10 day hold on Postal money
orders.

I have been trying to sell a tractor in the internet and I found a buyer
offering to pay the asking price. After receiving the cashiers check in the
mail, I made a deposit and found that the check was counterfit.
Be AWARE that this happens often. Don't get sucked in. Keep copies of all
correspondence.
