water gets into ford fergusons easily, the shifter boot, general gaskets,  
and the top link
point, which is almost always worn out. condensation also gets in.
 
80-85-90w can be used, or 70 w in extreme cold. A gallon of marine 90w will  
help with corrosion. 140w is not in the specs. do not use any "universal"  oil.
 
flushing/cleaning with rubbing alcohol is easy and environmental.
 
If your pump has a filter, change it.
