[Farmall] Seed Plate Drive

Ditto guy's,

I have a 53 A/V and the sprocket is held on with a pin. Remove the pin and
the sprocket should just slide off. Then you can out the cover back on,
i.e. if you have the cover<snicker>.....

No. The cap screw is a bolt that goes through two sets of holes--one in
the sprocket, one in the hollow shaft that comes out the final drive
case. I think it is "supposed" to be a pin with a cotter pin in the end
of it. But it may be a 5/16" bolt with a nut on the end, as that's
what's in mine. You may have to tap/twist the sprocket to make it come
off but I can't imagine you tearing anything up unless you decide to cut
it off with a torch :)

PS I think the Cub sprocket was held on with a single cap screw.

Hi Jim:

By removing this cap screw, will I have any chance of messing anything
up
inside the final drive? What size is this cap screw? Thanks for your
help,
it is appreciated!
