When is the show in Portland? I plan on going on Saturday as I have to work
at my second career.

    Hi Bear;
We all know your thoughts are with us who are closer and this
makes the job all the more worthwhile. We know we have the support of
all our little group. People at Portland still talk about us "pitchin'
in' to get the oats loaded in the field. That got us noticed for sure.
Being retired doen't necessarily mean you have less to do, just
that you can defer some things till next week or next month and still
not be behind.
We sure did miss the southwest group last year and expect to see
all of you back this year. The camper will make the stay more
comfortable.

            Gene

: I live too far to make work days, but I feel that when the Guys at
Portland ask for help with anything, I am always going to bust a gut
to comply. We have forked wheat bundles and other jobs in past years
and I know the guys in the ATIS group will be ready to "pitch in"
again when asked. Those of us who do live distant, thank those of you
who do show up and represent those of us who are absent. Any group or
club is no better than it's members. Last year, I missed Portland
because of work, but this year I am officially retarded (or is that
retired) so if the good Lord's willing and the creeks don't rise
between Texas and Indiana, I plan on being there with my glad hat on
and a coffee pot in the camper.

dirt with it, roll in it and smile a lot. Bear
