Had a good day for the work day at Portland. A.T.I.S. was
represented by me and brother Larry. Projects included repairing barn
roof edge, Trimming trees and clearing brush, painting and cleaning
rest rooms.
I worked on the barn repairs and Larry worked on the brush detail and
then helped finish the barn.
The weather turned out to be ideal for the day. The turnout of the
work force was lighter than expected and hoped for. Some projects on
the docket had to be deferred till later.
Dinner at the Ponderosa had a good turnout though. Don't know
where all these people were working, kinda like the roaches coming
from under the counter when you spill the sugar.
Volunteering for the club has become more important than ever now
with the new club rules on camping. Our group has a good working
record with Tri-State club and maintain our good standing with our
willingness to help.
