I had a steam boat with a Lee injector that had aluminum ball checks. In the
salt sea atmosphere the checks corroded quite badly and leaked. I was able
to go to my local bearing supply store and get the right size balls in hard
brass. They could also have given me stainless or steel balls. Incidently,
this is the only Lee injector that I have ever seen.
