[Steam-engine] Hand valve preference

Richard,
It might be that a "gate" valve would be preferable in a "full open"
position as there is no change in fluid direction and no restriction.
However, with no proof of such, I think that the "globe valve" might be
better in a partially open position. In such a case it would seem that  gate
valve would have a high amount of turbulence. I tried gate valves on an
injector once and it was not satisfactory. Changed to globe valves and no
trouble.
