[AT] Case SC

    Doug;
    Every starter on every Case I have seen has the body of the
starter mounted to the front side of the flywheel. This would include
all tractors fron the C,L,V,D,VA,and S series from the thirties to the
70 series of the seventies. This may not include the David Brown built
tractors, as I have no experience with them.
    Had one submitter on the Case discussion board who thought his
starter turned the wrong way. It was just fine and he was looking at
it backwards..
    Many IHC tractors had starters mounted to the rear of the
flywheel, so would turn in the opposite direction as a Case starter.
Possibly putting an IHC field in a Case starter could cause it to turn
in the opposite direction, but this is outside my experience.

                    Gene

: if one starter was made to come into the flywheel from the front and
: another from the rear, they would have to turn opposite directions.
Did
: Case ever vary their starter location??
