[AT] TIG welding--a little OT

I went to a farm sale years ago on a Corporate owned farm in extreme eastern
NC in Hyde Co. It was a black dirt farm of about 20,000 acres and was run
by employees. There were no on site owners. The auctioneer was selling a
diesel welding machine mounted on a trailer. It was so covered with black
dirt dust that you couldn't make out any of the numbers or any writting on
the machine. You know the every nook and cranny in it was full of dust. A
couple of guys got in a bidding war over it and it kept going up and up.
They finally sold it off. The guy standing in front of me turned around
and said. "Haha, I bought a brand new one just like it last month for $200
less money."

Moral of the story. Folks will do strange things when they THINK they are
getting a bargain.
