[AT] tractor question

Make sure that your puller isn't catching on the block. The plate on the
bottom has to fit exactly because the sleeve isn't very thick right there.
If all else fails, remove the oil pan and rig up some blocking so you can
put a hydraulic jack on the bottom of the sleeve. Once the front end of the
tractor is up in the air a little tapping should pop the sleeve right out.
I just took a sleeve out of a DC that had the piston severely stuck in it.
I finally was able to sledge hammer the piston down in the bore and then
with a big pipe wrench on the crank, I popped the sleeve out by just turning
the crank.

Subject: [AT] tractor question

I'm working on tearing down an old Case DH and have been running into some
"issues" pulling the sleeves. They are "resisting". I've tried about every
combination of wrench, all-thread and bad language I could think of. There
has to be a better way.

What do you folks use to pull sleeves? These are wet sleeves in a Case D
engine.

Many thanks!

Ken in beautiful, rainy AZ
