[Steam-engine] Valves seats

During the lifetime of Charles Cole, Cole's was regarded by many,
especially small model builders, as _the_ premier supplier of parts and
materials for the live steam fraternity. After his passing, wife Betty
and others carried on as long as they could but, business was sold about
a year ago. New owners appear to be struggling with the special
requirements of our hobby but insist they are getting it all back
together. Best wishes to them!!

Incidentally, my brother heavily modified and repackaged a ball valve in
a near-prototype throttle valve body casting for his beautiful Backer
23-90, 1/2 sized, model traction engine. I find that it is working very
well.

    See http://www.steamsmith.com

    Good luck,

    Bob Smith
