[Steam-engine] Throttle valve

Is the hole in the ball full size, some of them are smaller and might give  
too much pressure drop. On some of the home made small engines I have seen,  
lever operated gate valves were used for the throttle. I remember the logo on  
one was a superimposed MV. Good luck.
